Challenge done for this year!!
Masking her pain with a smile,
As she was walking her final mile.
She'd walked in the sun, wind, rain & fog,
She kept on going 'cos she had miles to log.
Some days were challenging that's for sure,
Having to force herself to walk out the door.
Injuring her toe, a dog biting her face,
She was determined to keep up her pace.
Some days she walked out of town,
Sometimes up hills & then back down.
By rivers, through bushland & on the beach,
She kept on walking 'cos she had goals to reach.
There are people struggling with no homes or a bed,
She was doing what she could to keep them fed.
Her miles in the challenge are now all done,
Over 140 since she begun.
Over $1,000 she has raised,
The people that donated deserve to be praised.
She feels what she did is really no big deal,
She's thankful to help people receive care & a nice hot meal.

Time to increase my goal again 👏 there is only a few days left in the challenge so am only increasing it by $100 this time.My goal is now $900 🙂🙏💲🚶♀️

Why I AM Doing My Bit TO Help
WHY I AM SO PASSIONATE ABOUT DOING THE Walk a Mile in My Boots CHALLENGE & HELPING THE HOMELESS I am THANKFUL EVERY DAY that myself & my kids have homes to live in 🙏 in the past I have been in situations where we could've easily ended up living on the street. I have been unable to afford to pay rent or utility bills to the point of having to go bankrupt twice!!! I'm Thankful that when I was living in Domestic Violent relationships the house & bills were all in my name 🙏
Everything is a LOT more expensive nowadays so I believe that IT REALLY COULD HAPPEN TO ANY OF US OR TO THOSE WE LOVE!!!

This National Homelessness Week, I'll be walking a mile (or more!) to raise funds for the 7,000 people experiencing homelessness in South Australia.
All funds go to Hutt St Centre, who have been supporting people at risk of or experiencing homelessness for nearly 70 years by providing essential support and wellbeing services all in a safe, welcoming space.
I'd be so grateful for your support! If you can’t join me in the challenge (I'd welcome the company), please give generously to my donation page.
