This August, help walk 70,000 miles for the 7,000 people experiencing homelessness in South Australia

It takes the support of an entire community to make sure everybody has a safe place to sleep. This August, we’re aiming to collectively walk 70,000 miles for the 7,000 people experiencing homelessness in South Australia. Walk a mile or more a day during National Homelessness Week then join our amazing community event on Friday 11 August and walk the final mile together. Everyone deserves a warm bed and a fulfilling meal... will you help make that a reality?

You're walking in Liam's boots

Liam* had a tough childhood and was homeless from a young age. But as a determined, hard-working man, Liam started to build a better life – until a spinal injury at work left him with a permanent disability.
It would have knocked many people out for good… but Liam sought case management support at Hutt St Centre.
Despite a traumatic past, Liam’s story has a happy ending: he’s overcome addiction, mental health issues, and with the support of our generous community, regained control of his life.
“The positivity, encouragement and guidance I got at Hutt St Centre literally changed my life.”
