$625,537Raised to help end homelessness
Across South Australia and beyond, thousands of people laced up their boots and took on Hutt St Centre's Walk a Mile in My Boots Challenge for 2022.
This generous support ensures around 850 people can find a warm welcome and a fresh start when they walk through Hutt St Centre's doors each month.
Thank you for sharing our vision to end homelessness. And thank you for helping to create a brighter future for people doing it tough.
Homelessness can happen to anyone
Hutt St Centre is a place of connection and support, where people at risk of or experiencing homelessness are empowered to rebuild their lives.
Vital services including healthy meals, hot showers, locker and laundry facilities, medical clinics, and visiting services like legal aid and financial counselling are all made possible by the generous support of our community.
Taking part in the Walk a Mile in My Boots Challenge each year is a fantastic way to show your support for people doing it tough, and provide practical help to rebuild their lives.

Help people like nathan
When Nathan was 15 he fled his home in rural South Australia - and his violent father - and hitched a ride to Adelaide. "I had nowhere to go. I spent six months sleeping on the streets, in parks, in abandoned houses - wherever I could find."
Nathan's path out of homelessness began when he was connected with Hutt St Centre. "Hutt St Centre really helped me because the staff never judge - they only ever want to help."
By taking part, you're helping people like Nathan who have fallen on hard times and have nowhere else to turn.
