Day 7 - Finalè!
Through the countryside, up the steep hill, steeped in sunlight, we have conquered!! 6km walked, a total of 40.3km for the week - that’s 25 miles walked with love to raise an amazing $1000+ for those South Aussies far less fortunate than ourselves. THANK YOU to all of you who have donated and supported me this week. 🙏❤️ Oh and there was one last thing…. The cartwheeel…..
Day 6 - Whispers of Spring…
Day 5 - Country roads
Crisp and fresh under a nearly fun moon. Green crops and wooly sheep, and a wiley farm boy to keep me entertained. 5.9kms walked. Just two more days to go, still hoping to make $950 for Hutt Street Centre!
Day 4 - Trees and vines
… and battlelines. I chanted the gayatri mantra as I went, felt better for it. 5.4kms walked.Day 3 - An effort!
I would have preferred to have a tired cry on the couch this afternoon - but luckily I had enlisted Nev, so we hit some muddy roads with nice views over yonder. 5.1kms walked.
Thanks to all my sponsors thus far! Looks like I need to revise my target again 👌 All donations today are being dollar matched by corporate sponsors - so it’s a great day to donate 😊
Day 2 - Suburban Strolls
Late afternoon stroll through the streets, discovering some secret compartments of serenity. Bumped into the lovely Trent en route. Sunny afternoon, cool but calm. 5.7kms walked.Day 1 - Cold and wet!
Wet and blustery, not altogether pleasant! But there was a rainbow. And thanks to my fantastic sponsors my target has been achieved (and revised and achieved!) before I even started walking- thank you so much!!!! 😃🙏Walking some miles
Starting 4th August, I’m committed to walking 5kms (3miles) per day for seven days (oh yes and doing a cartwheel for Nev).National Homelessness Week 4-10 August
This National Homelessness Week, I'll be walking 3 miles a day (and doing a cartwheel) to raise funds for Hutt St Centre, who have been supporting people at risk of or experiencing homelessness for over 70 years by providing essential support and wellbeing services in a safe and respectful way.
It’d be excellent if you could chip in a few bucks - $5 or $10 would be great. We’re all experiencing cost of living pressures these days, just spare what you can.
Lets help end homelessness.
