Your continued use of our Services indicates to Walk a Mile in My Boots (powered by Hutt St Centre) that you agree with these General Terms, as updated from time to time. We may change these General Terms periodically, so please check back regularly.

Walk a Mile in My Boots owns or licenses all trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property in the Services. You must not copy or reproduce in any form any graphics, logos, or other materials from our Services unless you have our specific permission. You may download materials from the Resources page on our website, subject to the conditions noted on that page.

Content Posted by You

Any content you post to our Services (e.g., photos, videos, comments) is your responsibility. You must ensure you have all necessary rights to post such content. By posting, you grant Hutt St Centre a non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free worldwide right to use and reproduce that content.

Community Standards

You agree not to:

Fundraising Events or Activities

If you organise a fundraising event or activity (Event) for Walk a Mile in My Boots, you are solely responsible for:

  • Organisation and management
  • Acquiring permits, permissions, and/or insurance
  • Compliance with all legal requirements

There may be inherent risks. Walk a Mile in My Boots is not liable for injury, damage, or loss arising from your Event.

Fundraiser Definition and Responsibilities

A 'Fundraiser' refers to any individual, group, or organisation fundraising for Hutt St Centre. A 'Third-party fundraiser' refers to an independently organised event in support of Hutt St Centre.

  • All fundraising activities must be conducted under the name of the Fundraiser, who holds full responsibility.
  • Fundraisers must obtain written approval to fundraise from Hutt St Centre prior to commencing, in accordance with the Collections for Charitable Purposes Act 1939.
  • Approval may be revoked if these Terms are breached or reputational risk arises.
  • Hutt St Centre is unable to assist in coordinating or promoting fundraising activities or events, nor provide goods/services to support them.
  • All promotional use of the organisation must refer to 'Hutt St Centre' (not 'the Hutt Street Centre') and clearly state that you are raising funds on behalf of the organisation.
  • Door-to-door, street, or phone collections are not permitted.
  • Promotional materials loaned must be returned within 7 days of your event to 261/263 Halifax Street, Adelaide during business hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–4:30pm).
  • Proceeds must be sent to Hutt St Centre within 14 days post-event.
Receipt Logs

Fundraisers must maintain a Receipt Log for all donors requesting a tax-deductible receipt (for monetary donations over $2). Goods and services may be acknowledged but not receipted for tax purposes.

Participation in Hosted Events

Participation in Walk a Mile in My Boots Events is at your own risk. Hutt St Centre assumes no liability for injury, damage, or loss.

Your Participation

Participation should consider your health and medical conditions. Information provided through our Services is not a substitute for medical advice. Walk a Mile in My Boots assumes no liability for injury, damage, or loss arising from participation.

Parental Consent

Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult. We may restrict access until parental permission is provided.

Campaign Period

The Walk a Mile in My Boots campaign runs annually from June through August. Donations received after 30 September will count towards the next year’s campaign.

Refunds
  • Requests must be made as soon as possible and before 30 June of the year following the donation.
  • Refunds for change of mind must be submitted within 20 calendar days of the donation.
  • Monthly recurring donations may be refunded for the most recent month only.
Rights to Moderate Content and Access

Walk a Mile in My Boots may remove content or restrict access at its discretion. Failure to enforce rights does not waive future enforcement.

Teams

If you register as part of a squad or crew (Team), your personal information may be shared with your Team Captain to support communication related to Walk a Mile in My Boots.

If you provide your phone number or postal address, we may contact you via these methods. You may opt out at any time. Please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Photography and Video Consent

By participating in a Walk a Mile in My Boots event, you consent to the use of your image, video, or likeness by Hutt St Centre for promotional purposes in online and offline media, unless you notify us in writing prior to the event.

Force Majeure

Hutt St Centre is not liable for any delay, interruption, or cancellation of the campaign or events caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, government restrictions, or public health concerns.

Secure Transactions

We use secure third-party payment gateways to process online donations. Hutt St Centre does not store your credit card or payment information.

Website Use Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the website
  • Gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, accounts, or data
Legal Entity and Jurisdiction

Walk a Mile in My Boots is powered by Hutt St Centre (ABN 75 055 179 354). These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia and form a binding agreement between you and Hutt St Centre.
