We're helping to end homelessness
In
2020 a small group of dedicated young people and staff from Marcellin Campus
were called to take action and make a difference in supporting the Hutt Street
Centre who undertake such amazing and necessary work in our community to
support those most in need who are experiencing homelessness. This was a true
reflection of what it means to be part of a Catholic school in the Marist
tradition, to see injustice, to judge what could be done and to act to make a
difference.
As
a result we joined with the Willunga Wanderers Community Group and McLaren Vale
Primary School to undertake a 50 kilometre walk as part of the 'Walk a Mile'
campaign to support the Hutt Street Centre in this vital work by raising money
through those supporting us on the 50km walk.
