We can all help

Hey Everyone,

My personal experience with homelessness happened as a late stage teenager, and continued off for a few years periods of time sleeping on the beach, under trees, park benches, in a car. This stretched from Victor Harbor to Loberthal.

Homelessness doesn't just effect people who have made poor life decision's, but people from all backgrounds, education, life experiences, many who have fallen on hard times and don't have a helping hand or access to a solid support system.

From my personal experience it does bring you quite a lot of personal shame, hopelessness and guilt and feeling like you can't ask for help.

Over the years I have participated in the CEO Sleep out and the Hutt Street campaign, it is a really worthwhile cause and something I personally care a lot about, if it wasn't for the kindness of strangers I doubt I would of had the gumption to keep going when times got tough.

It wasn't until my life changed at 23 by an experience with God, that my life gained stability, direction and purpose that my direct experience ended.

During National Homelessness Week, August 1 - 7, I’ll be walking 15 mile (or more!) to raise funds for the 6,000 people experiencing homelessness in South Australia. All funds go to Hutt St Centre who have been supporting people for more than 65 years.

Together we can help end homelessness.

Thank you to my Sponsors
