🧡 Pembroke Year 6 community goes the extra mile 🧡
We are incredibly proud to share that the Pembroke Year 6 community has exceeded our fundraising goal, raising an amazing $2,613 for Hutt St Centre's Walk a Mile in My Boots campaign🧡
A heartfelt thank you to all of our generous families who donated to support South Australians experiencing homelessness. Your kindness will help provide essential services including meals, healthcare, showers, laundry facilities and pathways to housing for people in our local community.
This initiative is a wonderful example of our Year 6 PYP Exhibition in action. Through their inquiry into the UN Sustainable Development Goals, our students are discovering how local collective action can make a real difference, particularly in support of SDG 1: No Poverty and SDG 2: Zero Hunger.
On Friday 7 August, our Year 6 students will proudly participate in the Walk a Mile in My Boots, while the Junior School community will also take part in our own walk around Kensington Oval. If your family hasn't yet contributed to our collective effort, students are encouraged to bring along a gold coin donation on Friday.

We're helping to end homelessness
This National Homelessness Week, we'll be walking a mile (or more!) to raise funds for the 7,000 people experiencing homelessness in South Australia.
All funds go to Hutt St Centre, who have been supporting people at risk of or experiencing homelessness for nearly 70 years by providing essential support and wellbeing services all in a safe, welcoming space.
