Since 2008, South Australians have come together during National Homelessness Week in August to take part in Walk a Mile in My Boots to show their support for those experiencing homelessness.
In 2020, our community raised over $720,000 for Hutt St Centre to continue providing life changing, essential wellbeing and professional services to help rebuild lives.
While uncertain times continue around the COVID-19 pandemic and mass gatherings, we have decided to continue with the Walk a Mile in My Boots Challenge.
That way anyone, anywhere can participate in the Challenge and show their support and raise funds for people experiencing homelessness in South Australia.
In 2021, we aim to collectively walk 60,000 miles, ten miles for the more than 6,000 people experiencing homelessness in South Australia in National Homelessness Week (August 1-7).
The Walk a Mile Challenge provides South Australian’s with the opportunity to step out and ensure Hutt St Centre remains a place where people can change their lives forever.
So, grab your boots and walk a mile or more in your neighbourhood this August and help end homelessness.
