About us

Since 2008, South Australians have come together each winter in August to take part in Walk a Mile in My Boots to show their support for people experiencing homelessness.

While uncertain times continue around the COVID-19 pandemic and mass gatherings, we have decided to continue with the Walk a Mile in My Boots Challenge.

That way anyone, anywhere can participate in the Challenge and show their support and raise funds for people experiencing homelessness in South Australia.

In 2022, we aim to collectively walk 60,000 miles, ten miles for the 6,000 people experiencing homelessness in South Australia on the week of 7-13 August, just after National Homelessness Week.

The Walk a Mile in My Boots Challenge provides South Australians with the opportunity to step out and ensure Hutt St Centre remains a place where people can change their circumstances for good.

So, grab your boots and walk a mile or more in your neighbourhood this August and help end homelessness.
