How it Works

Since we are unable to safely gather in one location as a community to support people experiencing homelessness, Walk a Mile in My Boots will be a little different in 2020.

This year, the Walk a Mile in My Boots event presents...

This year, we are challenging you to Walk a Mile or more on 7 August in your neighborhood. It can be in the park, at the gym, by the beach or around the neighbourhood.

From 7.30am on Friday 7 August, we will Walk a Mile or more and experience just how challenging winter mornings can be.

We want to come together as one community, even though we are apart, to collectively walk 6000 miles for the nearly 6000 people experiencing homelessness in South Australia.

It’s easy to take part. You can register as an Individual and invite your friends, family or colleagues to join you while adhering to social distancing. It’s easy, you just sign up, set your fundraising goal and target miles and show your solidarity within your local community on Friday 7 August.
