The Walk a Mile in My Boots Challenge is back for 2022!
We are challenging you to Walk a Mile or more on 7-13 this August. It can be in the park, at the gym, by the beach or around the neighbourhood.
Held just after National Homelessness Week, we will Walk a Mile or more and experience just how challenging winter mornings can be.
We want to come together as one community, even though we are apart, to collectively walk 60,000 miles for the nearly 6,000 people experiencing homelessness in South Australia.
Due to ongoing uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and mass gatherings, we have decided to continue the Walk a Mile in My Boots Challenge as a virtual event meaning you can walk when and where you like during the week of 7-13 August. 2020 and 2021 participants loved the virtual event and you will too!
Anyone, anywhere can participate in the challenge and show their support and raise funds for people experiencing homelessness in South Australia.
It’s easy to take part. You can register as an Individual and invite your friends, family or colleagues to join you while adhering to social distancing. It’s easy, you just sign up, set your fundraising goal and target miles and show your solidarity within your local community this 7-13 August, just after National Homelessness Week.
You also have the option to Create a Team and create team fundraising and miles goals. All you need is a Team Captain then just invite your friends, family or colleagues to join you.
